Hotel Web PagesProject targetThe project’s aim was to create individual hotel web presentations which would comply with the network’s corporate identity, streamline their management through a publishing system, speed up the reservation process, and eliminate reservations not corresponding to current availability. DescriptionČeský Web proposed and created presentations for individual hotels in the whole network, with an identical structure and page layout as those found in the main portal. The structure includes complex information about hotel rooms and facilities; guests are able to take a virtual tour through all areas of the hotel, and satisfied visitors may even send an e-card to their friends. Those who would like to give a stay in the hotel as a gift are allowed to purchase a gift certificate, for either a stay or a luxury dinner. Also, as part of the web pages, there is current information about cultural events in Vienna or Prague, current discounts and other information. Hotels in Vienna:
Hotels in Baden: Hotels in Eisenstadt: Hotels in Prague: Hotel in Brno: The presentations are created in several localized formats, e.g. German, Czech and English. With the help of the Aladin publishing system technology, it’s easy to further extend into new localizations, even with character sets different from the Roman alphabet. Part of the solution is to interconnect room reservations according to the hotel's current availability. With the help of the “Capacity Check” function, the user may check for availability on the required time slot. The system offers registration and reservation, entry via calendar, preferential rates for regular customers with pre-filled forms and a number of other functions. All 15 hotels of the AHI network may be managed via the Aladin publishing system, available in administrative interfaces in Czech and English, which may be arbitrarily extended to include new localized versions. All hotels are centrally administered from the Vienna office. That’s why an easy publishing process has been chosen here, allowing for partial publishing of the most recently modified pages. All user roles and rights within the system (editor, publisher) are in hands of the central office. In case authorizations and roles are diversified, Aladin is capable of administering roles and rights across each web, up to the level of a particular website’s directory.
